The Australian Pain Society (APS) is a Multidisciplinary Society whose charter is to improve the education, research and development, diagnosis and treatment of all forms of pain. Australian Pain Relief Association (APRA) is a registered charity with the Australian Taxation Office and works closely with the APS to support education and research in pain.
The Australian Pain Society and the Australian Pain Relief Association have awarded thirteen 3-year PhD Scholarships since 1995. The most recent Scholarship sponsored by Seqirus was offered from August 2016-August 2019. The stipend for this Scholarship was AU$26,000 per annum and the APS provides additional financial support enabling the candidate to attend the Society's Annual Scientific Meeting.
This scholarship will be known as the APS/APRA/Seqirus #1 PhD Scholarship.
The award is to enable full time research leading to a Doctor of Philosophy or equivalent:
