Newsletter

The newsletter of the Australian Pain Society is published quarterly and offers clinical notes from meetings attended by members around the world, administrative and organisational news, together with a calendar of events.

APS member/facility directory

The APS member/facility directory features a complete listing of all APS members geographically, alphabetically and by specialty, together with a list of members' pain facilities.

Annual Scientific Meeting

The Annual Scientific Meeting features plenary sessions, workshops, symposia, free papers, posters and exhibits. The meetings regularly attract over 500 delegates. Professional development courses for the general membership and special interest groups offer a series of in-depth half day clinical sessions dealing with the latest in pain research and professional practice.

The Australian Pain Society Website features a members-only area, giving access to online newsletters, discussion papers, an interactive forum, downloads, special interest groups information, board meeting reports and a listing of all members.

Representation

As a national chapter of the IASP, the Australian Pain Society has representation at international allied health care organisations, offering access to worldwide information on pain treatment. The Australian Pain Society has increasing input into Australian Government health issues.
